A pair of Lockport men were involved in an accident along Millersport Highway in Amherst late Thursday night and one of them has died.
Police aren’t sure why 36-year-old Jason Murphy was in the road around 10:45 last night, but he was struck by an oncoming pickup and later pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck was 40-year-old John Benedetti, who was driving a 2002 Chevy.
Investigators are still trying to piece together what happened and they’re looking for any witnesses to come forward.
