Another successful Porter Cup concludes

Another successful porter cup golf tournament concluded this weekend.  To display the type of classy individuals involved in this event, NiagaraHub is posting a letter written by one of the participants.  When was the last time you saw a nicely written thank you letter from a twenty-something?

From Danny Guise to Steve Denn:

– – – –

Hi Mr. Denn,

I just want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to play in this year’s Porter Cup. Even though I struggled for most of the week, I still had a great time. It’s been a frustrating stretch the past few weeks, but hopefully I can bounce back at the Western Am and the Canadian Am these next two weeks.

I love how everyone involved in the Porter Cup puts so much effort into making it such a special event. Everyone I have met has treated me incredibly well, and I really appreciate that. Please thank the rest of the committee members as well as the club members and volunteers for all that they do to make the Porter Cup such a memorable experience.

Hopefully I will have a good enough year that you will consider me for a spot again next year. It’s always one of my favorite weeks of the year, and I would love the opportunity to give it another shot.

Thanks again for everything. Have a great summer.

Sincerely,
Danny Guise
