10th Annual Event Makes its First Appearance in Niagara Falls – Concert is Free and Open to the Public

The Corvettes are coming!  The Corvettes are coming!  Old Falls Street is welcoming the Corvettes of Buffalo during their 10th Annual Caravan weekend, this Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Dubbed the “Old Falls Street Cruise-In,” the day-long event will feature approximately 200 Corvettes and other classic and custom vehicles parked along all three blocks of Old Falls Street and within the Downtown Niagara Falls area.  Other highlights include food, beverage and merchandise vending on Old Falls Street’s Middle Block as well as live music by Jamie Holka, from 12 to 2 p.m., with headlining act The Boys of Summer, taking the stage from 3 to 7 p.m.

The Old Falls Street Cruise-In is free and open to the public who would like to enjoy the music.  Anyone wishing to enter their classic or custom vehicle in the event may register on Saturday, on Old Falls Street, at $5 per car.  Guests do not have to own a Corvette to participate.

“We were honored that the Corvette Club chose our location to celebrate their 10th Anniversary event and hope that this becomes an annual activity for Old Falls Street,” said Global Spectrum’s Dan Mezhir, Old Falls Street’s event manager, who has been planning this weekend for several months.  “We look forward to hosting an array of Corvettes and other custom and classic cars on Old Falls Street, all of which will make for great photo opportunities for residents and visitors alike.”

In addition to Saturday’s festivities, the Corvettes of Buffalo will host various members-only activities and a brunch on Sunday, Aug. 17, at The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls.  One of those activities includes their Caravan, which leaves the Seneca Niagara Casino front parking lot at 10:30 a.m. and proceeds through Niagara County with a tour of Goat Island.  The public is encouraged to be on the lookout for the Caravan throughout the Niagara Region.
