“After years of advocacy and input by citizens, work is finally starting today to remove a section of the Robert Moses Parkway between Daly Boulevard and the park entrance and reconfigure that space into a more pedestrian- and cycle-friendly environment, funded largely through the Buffalo Billion. Just as in Buffalo, restoration of waterfront access is one of the key’s to revitalizing our downtown. We’re going to kick off the project with a press conference at the park entrance at 12:30 if you’re interested to join us. Thanks to all who worked for so long to make the citizen’s vision of a new Niagara waterfront more in the vision of Frederick Law Olmsted a reality. Next up: Robert Moses Parkway North to Findlay Drive. Stay tuned… ” [from Mayor Dyster’s Facebook page posted earlier today]

  1. I am very interested in how this project preserves the Deveaux State Park and the remaining college structures since Samuel Deveaux was part of my ancestry.
