Council members want to open up Falls budget process

Several members of the Niagara Falls City Council are hoping to keep a more watchful eye on the city’s financial health throughout the year in 2015.

Council Chairman Charles Walker and Councilman Andrew Touma have both called for new efforts from both the council and Mayor Paul Dyster’s administration to ensure that lawmakers and the public can see possible budget issues as they arise instead of waiting to address those issues after the mayor presents his proposed budget late in the year…
