NIAGARA FALLS, February 11, 2015 – The Health Association of Niagara County, Inc., is pleased to announce that Home Care Aide Mary Levesque is the first winner of their Caring Counts Award.
“Mary’s long standing commitment to HANCI is demonstrated not only in her years of service, but the dedication she shows her clients. She provides quality care in a pleasant and empathetic manner and has a deep selfless concern for others. Mary is a role model for others in the agency,” said Lori Roche, HANCI Home Care Director.
The HANCI Caring Counts award is given monthly to a Home Care employee that exceeds work expectations by going above and beyond the call of duty to provide outstanding care and service to clients.
Mary has been a HANCI team member for five years and says her career choice was a “calling from God.” Mary and Richard, her husband of 40 years, are the proud parents of two boys and four grandchildren. When Mary isn’t working at HANCI or spending time with family and friends, you will find her reading, writing poetry or camping. A fun fact about Mary… she is listed in the National Library of Congress in three different books!
“From the time Mary started working as a caregiver for my sister, she has shown the upmost excellence in care for her…. Mary is always pleasant, respectful and dependable. She is a great asset to HANCI and I believe she deserve the Caring Counts Award,” said a client’s family member.
