With snow melting and spring arriving, residents are advised to continue good recycling practices and keeping garbage contained in their refuse carts.
Residents can call the DPW Recycling Division at 286-4840 option 2 for any further questions, recycling advice, or concerns. They may also visit www.niagarafallsnycarts.gov for recycling information.
This new tote business is a pia!! Not only, are the totes an eye-sore (when left out all week/all the time)– if not dumped properly by Modern–garbage falls on the street–and is left there!! The totes are reversed for collection (small-garbage-large recyle)-which is the norm for Niagara Falls in everything!! The small tote is hardly ample for a family of four weekly garbage!!And this tote program costs us taxpayers, a half million dollars more a year!! Is Mr. Dyster getting a kickback–that this was forced on us suddenly?? There should have been more discussion re–and hopefully, with a new mayor–it will go back to the old way!!
