Kijowski joins Niagara Wellness Connection Center staff

KijowskiChristopher Kijowski, LCSWR, has joined the Niagara Wellness Connection Center at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center as Clinical Supervisor Outpatient Behavioral Health.

A practicing social worker since the late 1980s, Kijowski is a graduate of Buffalo State College and Case Western Reserve University, where he earned a master’s degree in social work.

In his new role, he will provide oversight for outpatient Adult Behavioral Health and Continuing Day Treatment services.

Kijowski most recently served as head of behavioral health for Neighborhood Health Center, Buffalo, where he implemented, led and supervised what grew to be a successful, self-supporting social work department.

His previous experience includes work as a community social worker, supervising addictions counselor and clinical director. He is the owner of Namaste Counseling & Wellness and received the 2012 Provider Recovery Award from the Buffalo Psychiatric Center.

Kijowski is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), solution focused short term therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
