Following an endorsement by the Niagara County and City of Niagara Falls Democratic Party committees, County Legislator Mark Grozio has declared his candidacy for re-election to the 3rd District seat of the Niagara County Legislature.

“My primary goal is to stay committed to my district by improving the quality of life for my neighbors in LaSalle and throughout Niagara County, but my actions speak louder than words. I voted against all tax increases in the 2015 budget and supported the construction projects that have brought new jobs to Niagara Falls.”

While campaigning, Grozio has been a strong supporter for Industrial Development Agency reform which now requires local labor on all IDA projects. He is an advocate for keeping local money into the local economy.

Grozio was one of the first to call attention to the frozen water main issue in LaSalle, contacting Water Board and City officials when residents made him aware of the issue. Grozio has been a voice in his district for local water issues and continues to monitor the process, while making himself available to his constituents, coworkers and neighbors.

“I was elected to serve the people of LaSalle for two years. It has been an honor to do so but there is still work to be done. I am committed to my district as I have lived and worked in LaSalle all my life.”

Grozio was born and raised in the LaSalle district of Niagara Falls. He currently resides there with his wife, Lynda (Merante), and their three children. He serves locally as the Assistant Business Manager for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 237.
