‘Twas the last week, November
and all through the Falls
not many creatures were stirring
in the parks or the malls.

The tourists have left us,
and took with them much,
of their trip to our backyard,
all those memories and such.

Oh what a place
to come visit and stay,
a lifetime of hopes that
they’d realize someday.

But now that they’re gone,
it’s like our parents just left,
and trusted us with our home
to protect it from theft.

Hey!  Time to party at our house
And bring all your friends,
let’s enjoy what we have here
check out all the trends.

Locals’ Season is on us
it’s time to relax,
and treat ourselves mightily
to the great cataracts.

So get out and look
in your own big backyard,
meet friends and neighbors,
try partying hard.

Eat at some restaurants,
stay in a hotel,
Check out attractions
where the water just fell.

Then sometime in May
we’ll open the door
and let all the tourists
come back and explore.

That gives a chance
to enjoy family at home,
Or go somewhere else
as a tourist and roam.

Join Niagara Hub and the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute as we celebrate the first annual “Kickoff to Locals’ Season”  November 29, 2016, 5pm at Savor Restaurant, 28 Old Falls St., Niagara Falls, NY.

Calling all residents, business associations, civic organizations, clubs, business owners, and guests.  Enjoy an evening to celebrate the end of a successful tourist season and the beginning of our time to take advantage of what and who we have in this great community. Let’s explore the Culinary Institute as they offer some hors d’oeuvres and provide the ambience of royalty.  Meet our friends from Double Cross Vodka, arguably the best vodka to reach the top shelf, and sample some of their ideas of how to enjoy an evening. A cash bar will provide a great venue to gather with your neighbors. Groups can grab a table for dinner or just hang with your friends in the cocktail lounge.

Use the night to plan your attack to visit the greatest tourist destination in the world without wasting time in the security line at the airport.
