Somerset couple agrees to permanently protect 63 acres on Lake Ontario

A 63-acre parcel on Lake Ontario that includes both wetlands and mature forest will be permanently protected from development under an arrangement between the owners and the Western New York Land Conservancy.

Thomas and Susan Carestia, who have lived on the property on Lower Lake Road in Somerset since 2001, signed a perpetual conservation easement for the land.
