We hope that once others hear our plans, they will decide to join us in additional holiday planning this year.”

Julie Gilbert, Destination Niagara USA’s vice president of marketing & brand management said, “We are proud to be a part of this community effort and excited to take the lead on marketing and promoting Jingle Falls USA. This is an excellent opportunity to draw not only residents of Western New York to downtown Niagara Falls, but also visitors in a typically slower time of year for tourists.”

“We are very excited to be part of this collaboration and hope that it will further enhance Niagara Falls’ reputation as a destination for winter fun,” said Barbara DeSimone, acting public relations director of Niagara County Community College. “We are thrilled to be able to showcase our Culinary Institute’s Gingerbread Wonderland signature event alongside the programming offered on Old Falls Street.”

“We are excited to be alongside our community partners and participate in this new holiday event for Niagara Falls.” said Patrick Bassney, General Manager, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.

There are also contests to enter including the Social Media Contest, inviting guests to share their photos taken during Jingle Falls USA using #JingleFalls. One winner will receive an overnight package to Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. In addition, the Downtown Niagara Falls Business Association is encouraging guests to eat and drink in area restaurants to enter to win a trip for two on Rainbow Air Helicopters next summer season.

Organizations who have come together to create this initiative are the City of Niagara Falls, NY, Niagara Falls Community Development, Old Falls Street USA, The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls, Niagara Falls State Park, Destination Niagara USA, #LiveNF, Niagara Falls Culinary Institute, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, Downtown Niagara Falls Business Association, Discover Niagara Shuttle, Rainbow Air Helicopter Tours, Niagara Falls Board of Education, Niagara Falls Fire Department, Niagara Police Athletic League, Sheraton At The Falls, and the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission.

“The City of Niagara Falls is proud to partner with this dedicated group of community leaders who have worked tirelessly to help get Niagara Falls into the holiday spirit this season,” said Mayor Paul A. Dyster. “With many exciting, family-friendly activities planned and more still to announce, it is my hope that this inaugural Jingle Falls season is just the beginning of a growing and successful community-wide celebration for years to come.”

Now Showing: StenzTV (Episode 1)

Getch’yer popcorn ready!

The new, revised, all spiffed up and ready for the air-waves – StenzTV!  The half-hour, variety style, some time serious, most of the time not-so-serious side of Niagara Falls and basically, the point of view from one of your average fellow residents, the glass is half full, keep me out of politics, we only live once, let’s all chill the F out, your brother from anotha’ mutha – Yours Truly… ME!

Consider StenzTV the NiagaraHub’s first full “network” show, a combination of elements you read and view on the Hub (The Images of the Day, The Soapbox, Headline Roundup, Food Reviews, Man on the Street, etc.), along with the hometown goodness and trivial nonsensical whatnot that always has been the heart of the website called StenzTV. I’ll be mixing in some local news and headlines, some guests and fun conversation, along with bits of local history and general autobiographical stuff that makes me, me.  My intention is to bring to local Niagara Falls visual media and cable access something that most people haven’t seen before in this area – something different than Mr. or Mrs. Blahblahblah sitting between two ferns on an old couch waxin’ philosophical about the 1965 School Board Budget… yaaawwwwwn! Don’t get me wrong, we will be as low tech, low budget and as crude as the worst of ‘em, but our difference is, we will have soul!  A little sumpthin’ for everybody… or maybe not at all, but hey, I’m givin’ it whirl and having a good time doing so.

This half hour episode is just the beginning – I hope to roll one out every couple months.  Ya know, like the beginnings of all great television shows… from M*A*S*H*, All in the Family, Happy Days to the Price is Right and Family Feud, it’ll be a series kick off to celebrate! Just remember, fish don’t fry in the kitchen, and beans don’t burn on the grill, took a whole of tryin’ just to get up that hill…

StenzTV will be filmed on location and also in front of a live studio audience (of one or two people at most probably!) and will be airing once every couple months or so.  If you want to appear on StenzTV or if you have a great video or segment that you think is a must to add to the next episode, lemme know!  Please give us a call at 716.299.0705 or email us at: theniagarahub@gmail.com
