Announcement: Niagara Falls Public Library slogan contest

The Niagara Falls Public Library is holding a contest open to Niagara Falls resident library card holders of all ages . They are looking for a slogan, 10 words or less, that captures what the library has to offer people of all ages. The creator of the winning slogan will win a Kindle Fire.

Entry forms can be picked up at Earl Brydges and LaSalle Library.

The winner will be announced during National Library Week (April 9-13th). The theme of this year’s celebration is You Belong @ Your Library. “What better way to celebrate this idea than having our community tell us why they belong in our facilities?” states Library Director Michelle Petrazzoulo. “We want people to stop and think for a moment about what the library signifies in our community, raise awareness of how significant we are, and get people to start thinking about what we do now, as well as what we can become in the future. The Library is so many things to so many people, so we are looking for a slogan that captures that best and we feel our library patrons can best sum it up.”

The Contest is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Deadline for submission is Saturday, March 31, 2012.
