A green at Tan-Tara Country Club in North Tonawanda was ripped up after a crew member at the course said a souped up ATV had been spotted driving around the course over the weekend.
The superintendent of Tan-Tara reported to Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies that on Saturday night, an ATV damaged the lawn around and on the green for the 14th hole.
According to a police report, it appears the vehicle entered the property from a trail on the northeast corner of the property.
Earlier in the evening on Saturday an employee of Tan-Tara observed a souped up golf cart and an ATV just off the north west end of the property. As he attempted to approach them they left the area.
Another employee states that he had observed a golf cart matching that description on Townline Road.
Police are still investigating.
