There were a lot of people upset when State Parks first illuminated the Falls years ago. It’s a grievous violation of the Olmsted plan for the park. But today the park is commercialized beyond all recognition anyway, pavement and food stands and coin-operated binoculars line the falls and nobody seems to give a shit about it except cranks like me.
