Falls bank robber still at large

Niagara Falls Police are still searching for a man they believe robbed a local bank, but they know who they’re looking for.

The suspect walked into the HSBC branch on 805 Main St. just after 11 o’clock Tuesday morning.

The man gave a note to a teller saying he had a gun although he never showed it. He slipped out just as two Niagara Falls police officers entered the bank, and he hasn’t been spotted since.

Police believe the suspect is 36-year-old Sheldon Crogan, and he’s now wanted for third-degree robbery.

Police haven’t disclosed how much money he got away with.
