After Friday’s 70-degree temperatures, the weekend took a wet, windy dip that included plenty of chilly runners at the annual Envirun 5K on Goat Island.
We know, because we were silly enough to take part in the nonsense. But seriously, the event went off without a hitch, and aside from the band canceling (and the lack of beer at the post-race party), a good time was had by all on what Mayor Paul Dyster called “what we believe to be the most beautiful 5K course in the country.”
We’ll concur. But don’t ask us our time, which barely nipped some of the walkers.
