Strategic code enforcement blitzes will target commercial blight
Mayor Paul Dyster is directing city forces to crack down on vacant and blighted buildings. The blight blitzes are scheduled to start within a month. Mayor Dyster highlighted this strategy in his 2013 State of the City Speech as one way to combat commercial speculation.
Give the public a chance to participate, with a system like they used to report potholes. Set up a system to log on to the cities website and report these properties and include pictures so you can get before and after photos to show progress being made. That should include graffiti reports and pics too.
