City Council members concerned about train station costs

The Niagara Falls City Council approved a new contract for the city’s consultant on the final phase of a North End train station project, but several council members voiced concerns over the growing cost of the project.

New council member Andrew Touma, who took office at the beginning of the year, said he supports the project — total costs are now estimated at more than $30 million — and wants to see it completed, but did not want to see the city commit more money than it has to to complete the train station…
