Plans, Ideas and Conceptions from yesteryear – Niagara Falls, New York

While entering the scans from an earlier session today in Local History (see Wintergarden), this next folder of images seemed logical to scan since some of the images are connected.  You’ll see a few ideas that never happened, a few that became realities and a few that shouldn’t have (using 20/20 hindsight).  Either way, they are the make up of our city and are now scanned and preserved for future generations to view.  The Local History Department at the Niagara Falls Public Library surely is a treasure trove if you like these sorts of images, photos and articles!

Along with these photos, you might want to take a glance at this article from Don Glynn found on the Buffalo Spree Magazine website archives from July of 2000.  14 years later and some changes have taken place, and some haven’t… is our glass any more full since then or more empty?
