DePetris gets 25 years for shooting brother-in-law

Timothy C. DePetris, the Niagara Falls businessman who tried to shoot his brother-in-law to death after a business dispute, was sentenced today to 25 years in state prison.

Deputy District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann disclosed in court that DePetris also had gone to another home within a few days of the shooting in an apparent attempt to kill another man…

Lockport company uses local resources to continue to expand

More time needed for Hamister hotel drawings

Representatives of the Hamister Group said they need another month to complete final site plans for the 146-room, 117,000-square-foot Hyatt Place hotel planned for 310 Rainbow Blvd.

Citing a need for further negotiations between architects and representatives from Hyatt Place, the chosen flag for the anticipated hotel, Communications Director Andrea Czopp said the company wasn’t able to finalize the needed renderings to present all of the information to the city’s planning board Wednesday…
