Destino says he’ll work with Wallenda on creating Falls attraction

The Democratic candidate for the state Senate’s 62nd District seat vowed Thursday to help aerialist Nik Wallenda in his efforts to develop a permanent attraction in Niagara Falls.

Hiker injured in fall pulled from Niagara Gorge

A hiker was pulled from the Niagara Gorge on the Canadian side late Friday morning after she fell about 20 feet down an embankment.

Niagara Parks Police said its High Angle River Team, the Niagara Falls, Ontario, Fire Department and Niagara EMS were called to the Niagara River below the glen about 11:45 a.m. Friday for a report of an injured hiker.
