Falls store owners admit welfare fraud

The owners of a Pine Avenue market have pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a four-month undercover investigation into welfare fraud in the Falls.

Shamsher Singh and Jasbir Kaur, a husband and wife team who own and operate the Indian General Store, entered their pleas to single counts of misuse of food stamps and possession of untaxed tobacco products…
