The City Council awarded $500,000 to the Isaiah 61 Project on Monday night, with a 3-1 vote. Councilman Glenn A. Choolokian, was the lone “no” vote. Choolokian stated that he believed Isaiah 61 to be a good program until they started asking for money. He based his vote on his concerns for taxpayers.
