Seneca Casinos’ two resort properties in Western New York offer guests sizzling entertainment every weekend on its gaming floors with some of the best live entertainment stemming from Western New York, Southern Ontario, and this month, two very popular bands out of the Detroit area provide top-notch musicianship for a feverish night on the dance floor. STIR at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls and Casino Bar at Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino in Salamanca are the places to go for the hottest acts and live music while enjoying drinks and gaming. Additionally, every Thursday and Monday nights, football fans can root for their favorite teams on the massive video wall at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino.
STIR is Seneca Niagara’s hard-to-miss Vegas-style feature bar located in the southwest corner of the main gaming floor. A towering 43-foot high-definition video wall, with easy views from all points on the gaming floor, directs attention to the activity and excitement brewing at Stir. And at the Allegany Resort & Casino, the Casino Bar is appropriately located in the heart of the gaming floor near the table games, and serves as a central gathering place to enjoy drinks and live entertainment.
STIR will welcome several new musical acts to its lineup this month and a few repeat performances of audience favorites. This weekend, for a much in-demand return visit is a piping hot band with an explosive Motown sound straight from the Motor City—Serieux will take the Stir stage on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 10 and 11 from 5:30 to 9:30. Serieux performs regularly in Detroit and Las Vegas and has opened for Earth, Wind and Fire and played with Martha Reeves. The vocal harmonies of this ten-piece ensemble will take you back in time with all the Motown hits, and delivers a powerhouse performance with all the signature moves in a tightly choreographed show. Serieux will have you singing and moving along to the Temptations, Smokey Robinson tunes and more to put you in a feel-good groove that will lift your spirits and elevate your mood all weekend long.
This Friday, Oct. 10, from 10 to 2 a.m., another Michigan-based band, Ani comes to shake up the scene at Stir. Ani is one of the most popular, talked about, A-list bands out of the metro Detroit, Ann Arbor and Lansing areas. Ani is known for their electric energy show-stage performance and their versatility, playing everything from Top 40 to disco to Motown to hip hop. Their contagious adrenalin-infused performance will keep Stir hopping over the long weekend. The six-piece band includes a variety of instruments and both male and female vocals for a memorable evening of song, hot sounds and dance.
On Saturday afternoon, Oct. 11, Andy DeCampos will return to make himself at home above Stir. DeCampos is described as a cool, first-class crooner with a Frank Sinatra style and an appealing fresh Vegas-feel to his act that captivates and entertains. A Toronto native, DeCampos has been a frequent headliner in the city’s music night scene. He is working on recording with a 16-piece big band and his personal goal is revive the lounge singer sound in popular music.
And finally, on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., Groove Marmalade is a dynamic six-piece band that has rocked the Greater Toronto Area with their vast repertoire. Hitting all the sweet spots on the stage, this “ultimate dance band” will upend the house with not just their range of tunes that includes disco, pop, reggae, top 40, classic rock, oldies and funk—but they will dazzle with their showmanship and vitality.
