Police nab man who fired at detective during foot chase

A man who exchanged gunfire with a Niagara Falls police detective during a foot chase Wednesday evening in the city’s north end is now facing multiple charges.

Police arrested and charged Carl Lightfoot with attempted murder, reckless endangerment in the first degree, criminal possession of a firearm in the second degree, possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, burglary in the second degree and resisting arrest following the incident which started around 5 p.m. outside a deli on Highland Avenue…
