Gill Creek

Gill Creek Chowder Club cooks. From Niagara Falls Gazette – March 14, 1931:

These are the three chief cooks of the Gill Creek Chowder Club. From left to right: Wesley P. Brown, Jefferson B. Clark and Collins Pratt. The picture was taken on the banks of Gill Creek in the days before the industries invaded that region. In the distance on the right may be seen the club house of the old Fish and Game Club that stood on the island at the mouth of Gill Creek. It was the country club of the city in those days, some thirty or more years ago, and numbered among its members the most prominent men and women of the city.
