Speaking of pretending it’s a past year. I am currently listening to my cassette copy of Paul Simon’s album Graceland from 1986 and it sounds great. Music downloads and file sharing has literally almost taken away the good old feeling of placing a vinyl record on a turntable and/or placing a tape, be it an 8-Track or cassette, inside a tape player or player/recorder. Music downloading and MP3’s aren’t the same as playing a record or tape. I bought the tape from Record Land when it was first released and I would later purchase the vinyl album of it at the same place. Those were the good old days.
