Olde Tyme Main Street Festival coming soon
The Park Place Market and the Main Street Business and Professional Association will co-sponsor the Olde Tyme Main Street Festival on June 14, 2015.The Festival will include a series of events during the day (full schedule below), leading up to the annual Flag Day ceremony put on by the Niagara Falls Block Club Council.
The day’s festivities will include an old-fashioned flea market, classic car show, live music, on-site food, craft and other vendors, children’s activities and much more. All festivities will take place at the Park Place Market, located at 630 Main Street in Niagara Falls. “Each year, the Block Club Council and the Main Street Business and Professional Association have partnered in honoring our flag and our country during their Flag Day ceremony.
The schedule of events is as follows:
- Olde Tyme Main Street Festival – June 14th starting at 12:00pm
- Flea Market: 12pm – 7pm
- Classic Car Show: 12pm – 2pm
- Live Music with Aaron Berger and James Gizzie: 1pm-3pm and 4pm-6pm
- Flag Day Ceremony: 7pm
- Children’s Activities and other Vendors will be available throughout the day
This year, we wanted to plan a full day of events leading up to the ceremony, to garner a little more participation and attendance,” said Tom Lowe, President of the Main Street Business and Professional Association. “We hope this is the start of a yearly event, and one that we can expand on next year. At one point there was a parade that ran right between the Main Street Post Office and where our Market is today – maybe we can bring that back in future years,” added Rob Brawn, a member of the Park Place Market ownership group.
