The Isaiah 61 Project will launch its summer trades training class on August 3, 2015 at 8 am. The free class, open to men and women over the age of 18, has been expanded from 400 hours to 500 hours and will be taught by certified Orleans/Niagara BOCES instructors. In addition to OSHA safety certification, and computer training, students will receive hands on experience renovating a vacant home that will eventually be marketed for home ownership. Students are welcome to attend the first class as walk-ins. Successful graduates will have access to free job placement services and a tool apron set.

The Isaiah 61 Project is proud to welcome Mr. Kevin Wing as it’s new Executive Director, and thanks Reverend Mark Perkins for his dedicated service as interim executive director. Reverend Perkins has returned to service on the Isaiah 61 Project’s Board of Directors. Mr. Wing brings extensive private sector and renovation experience to the position.

In addition, the Isaiah 61 Project has executed a new partnership with Niagara University’s ReNU Niagara Office. ReNU Niagara’s extensive experience in civic engagement and community facilitation will assist the Isaiah 61 Project with grantmaking and corporative relations.
