Holiday trash pickup in Niagara Falls

Reminder to Niagara Falls refuse and recycling program participants, that if your regular trash and recycling day is Friday January 1st, pickup will be delayed by one day. It will be picked up Saturday January 2nd. Please be sure your cart(s) is out by 7am.

Also note that live Christmas trees can go out with regular trash next to your cart on your trash day through the end of January.

Regular bulk pick up (one item during the first full week of the month) will be January 4-8th on your regular trash day.

There is also no limit to recycling. Excess recycling, such as boxes, junk mail, and clean plastic containers, can be placed out in an open box next to your recycling cart on your recycling day.

Remember that electronics can NOT be placed at the curb. To dispose of electronics, such as televisions, computers, and lights, please bring them to the Department of Public Works, 1785 New Road. Electronics recycling is accepted and free of charge for Niagara Falls residents ONLY.
