Assemblyman Ceretto calls on Water Board to reimburse residents and lower water rates

“The $6.3 million surplus discovered in the state’s audit of the Niagara Falls Water Board and Water Authority is absolutely unacceptable. I call on the board to immediately issue refunds to the residents of Niagara Falls who, due to frozen pipes, went without water during the winters of 2014 and 2015 and have yet to be reimbursed. Additionally, because hardworking residents are already struggling to make ends meet, these funds should be used to lower water rates for all city residents. The people deserve their hard-earned money back.”
