City of Niagara Falls Department of Public Works Announces Leaf Pick-Up Schedule

Mayor Paul Dyster and the Department of Public Works announced the first round of leaf pick up scheduled for the fall 2016 season. Effective Monday, October 31 pick-up will begin in the Hyde Park area to the north end of the city.

Areas scheduled for pick up from Monday, October 31 to Saturday, November 5 include:

Hyde Park Boulevard to Niagara Scenic Parkway; from North Avenue to Garfield Avenue

Residents should not rake leaves into the street until their area is announced for pick up, as wet leaves can create hazardous conditions.

Leaves can also be placed curbside in clear plastic bags or brown paper bags, next to your trash cart, for pick up on your regular trash pickup day through the end of November.

Additional sections of the city scheduled for pick up will be announced on a weekly basis through December.

Questions should be directed to the Department of Public Works: 286-4840.
