Best Hometown Niagara Falls Pizza – Once and For All!

The best pizza in Niagara Falls is from where?

Simple question for ya:

Comments

  1. Ross says:

Buzzy’s was the best, until they switched to that thin pep, the thick cut pep was the best, it made all those little cups of grease that added all the flavor. It was always the pep that made the taste, every pizza shop that switched to the thin slices lost their good flavors. With the good flavor, went the best pizza’s.

There is no bad pizza in the falls but the absolute best I can remember is Pizza Oven! We left NF back in 83 but still visit each year and our entire family from Virginia, lives on pizza while we are there. That’s my wife and I, 4 adult children, their spouses and 7 grandkids! The best food around is up there!

LaHac!!!! Omg I can’t believe this place didn’t win! I drive 30min from buff to get it! When my NF friends come over I request a LaHac pie!!
I’ve paired great cab’s and brunello’s with it!!! It’s the best hands down.

  19. Charlie says:

Best pies and my favorite is Goodfellas. I’m surprised to see so many comments for Joey’s, I’m gonna have to give it a try. Pizza Oven is definately at the top of the list. It’d be hard to choose between the two, I guess it would depend on my mood. My all-time favorite used to be Sammy’s but that place has went down hill, I’m not sure what happened with that place.

Well my love for pizza made me get fat, haha. But really there is No better Pizza than La Hacienda, I love the pies with the awesome crust yum yum, Second has to go to Pizza Oven just picked up a tray last Saturday, The problem with Pizza Oven is they are only open Friday ,Saturday and Sunday, I think the hours are from 11 am till 7 pm . Joeys is damn good too. I use to love Buzzys, however too many bad pizzas from them , too bad too sad.

  26. Mike Southwood says:

Growing up, you were either a La Hacienda fan at one end of Pine or a Michael’s fan at the other end. I was a Michael’s fan. But I also remember fondly the pizza at the Pub on Main St.

  27. Alicia Laible says:

Joey’s is #1 for me with Lahacienda at a very close second. Also I have to make mention of Dicamillo’s broccoli and cheese :)

Everyone please LaHacienda is # 1by far!
Aldo will even half bake them and fed ex overnight to you if you are out of state! Then you finish baking it in the oven (10-15mins @ 350) or stick in freezer…I could never wait, had to eat right away.

    • Lori Guarnieri says:

Wow really?? That’s even good for the ones who live here and crave their pizza on a Tuesday when they’re closed! :) I may take him up on a half baked pizza to keep in my freezer for those “emergency” situations! As a matter of fact, I love that place so much I may name my future child “Aldo”! Keep up the great work La Hacienda! You out do all the rest with great service, taste, consistancy & overall greatness!

  31. Lori says:

LaHacienda is the best!! Buzzy’s is good but can be inconsistant and also their sevice is bad. The pizza isn’t worth dealing with the poor service. LaHacienda is the BEST around period!! They also have amazing beans & greens!!

  32. Anonymous says:

I just wanted to let everyone know about that garbage service we received from Buzzy’s Pizza. My family ordered 6 trays of pizza and 200 chicken wings for my son’s 2nd birthday party. When we called there is inform the manager/owner that several boxes of our pizza had hair in them we were told that it must have been an A-hole at the party that did it.. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?! All we wanted was an apology instead we got rude/inappropriate response. Needless to stay we will not be eating there ever again.

    • anonymous says:

Well, we called on New Years Eve at around 7:30 to order. We were unaware that they closed at 8pm. Instead of answering the phone and telling us this, the staff kept picking up the phone and hanging up after the 2nd ring. I couldn’t believe it!! I even called from 2 other numbers because I thought it must be a bad connection but it wasn’t. I called the mananger and he also never apologized. They are extremely rude and their customer service is worse than that of McDonald’s. I think the good businees they used to have went to their heads & inflated their egos! They are making a joke out of the original Buzzy! Needless to say he had more class than the owners now.

My family started Jacos! It is very cool to still the name up and running! We had numerous locations back in the 80’s. We had one were the Enterprise Car Rental is located off Niagara Falls Blvd. We had a take out location somewhere downtown. Then we moved to two locations. One in Grand Island and a take out locations two doors down from where it is now! I believe it was the old dart shop:) So I have to say Jacos!

Although there are several pizzerias in NF that make a fine product, my overall favorite since childhood has been BUZZY’S.
When Pizza Crud (Hut) moved about a block away years ago, folks were saying it would force BUZZY’S to close. My friend’s dad took one bite of that mass-produced corporate crap and said: “Well, BUZZY’S has nothing to worry about.”

Dave’s Pizza Joint. 2500 Niagara Falls Blvd. Niagara Falls NY 14304. I’m new to NY and had no idea pizzerias made pizza dough fresh everyday. I started going to Daves Pizza Joint when they opened at the beginning of last year. I have not been able to eat anyone else’s pizza since. The people are great the food is awesome and the atmosphere reminds me of an old diner my parents used to go to called Mikes and Jakes or like I used to call it “the Monkey house” because it had pictures of monkeys and related stories plastered all over the wall. Dave’s has the 1975-1989 theme going on.
