Audio: Dyster says reason for high crime stat is gang, drug activity

Niagara Falls recently took another hit when it was unveiled that the city was just outside the top 50 in a recent list of the Most Dangerous Cities in America.

That information came from the website neighborhoodscout.com, which said the rankings focused solely on the rate of violent crimes, including offenses like forcible rape and murder.

According to the study, Niagara Falls was No. 51, and ranked lower than neighboring Buffalo, which came in at No. 35 on the list.

The most dangerous city in the country, according to the website, was East Saint Louis, Illinois. Click here to see the entire list.

We caught up with Mayor Paul Dyster who said the info the study was based on is a little outdated and it’s also skewed.
