Wearable Art Fashion Show at Wine on Third

Wine on Third hosts its First Wearable Art Fashion Show

The wearable artwork of Local Artists including Mary Grace O , Lisa Crapsi and others will begin a one month long show and sale at Wine On Third on Thursday February 21st with an opening reception from to 6pm to 9 Pm that night. And a runway show at 8:00 pm.

The Thursday the 21st event will include a pre-show reception for the artist, a model run way and a post run way show of the wearable art worn by local models. Post the reception the wearable art will be displayed on the walls of the dining room and bar for one month concluding on the 20th of March. All artist are local western new Yorkers and the materials they will be using, incudes duct tape, coffee filter, bubble wrap as well as other alternative fashion materials, even Bacon, Everything is better with bacon even fashion Most materials are recycled and re purposed materials approximately 20 dresses will be on display

Other artist included in the show are: Holly Ranike, Andrea Galyn, Artie Vanderpool, Lulu Robinson, Cat McCarthy

The Niagara Beautification Commission and the Niagara Gazette are once again sponsoring a Commercial Holiday Decorating Competition. This is open to ALL Business Owners in Niagara Falls. Judging will take place starting December 9th through the 16th. Judges will scout all the business districts. If you are located off the central street you may also enter by calling NBC and leave a detailed message indicating your business name and exact location. The number is 285 5030.

One prize, a free 1/4 page ad, will be awarded by The Niagara Gazette and your efforts will be highlighted in the Gazette as well.

The Niagara Beautification Commission and the Niagara Gazette are once again sponsoring a Residential Holiday Decorating Competition. This is open to ALL AREAS in Niagara Falls. Judging will take place starting December 9th through the 16th. Judges will scout all the areas listed in the iamge below looking for special efforts or you may also enter by calling NBC and leaving a detailed message indicating your name, phone number and exact location. The number is 285-5030.

The prize will be a framed photograph of your decorated residence by Dave Young and your home will be highlighted in the Niagara Gazette. Join in the Holiday Spirit and show off your residence with lights and displays. Past winners are not eligible but are encouraged to decorate.
